Faith over Fear

Mould Me. Make Me. Use Me.
Mercy receives Me.
My heart is open Jesus.

Refine - To bring to a fine or pure state free from impurities.
- to purify from what is coarse, vulgar, or debasing, Make elegant or cultured.
- to bring to a fine state or form by purifying
- to become pure
- to become more fine, elegant or polished.

So be truly glad there is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.
These trials will show you that your faith is genuine.
It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold.
Though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.
1 Peter 1:6-7

Search me oh God and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts.
Remember to check yourself. Sometimes you are the toxic person.
Sometimes you are mean, negative or a problem but that doesn't make you any less worthy.
Keep growing. Mistakes can be opportunities to learn and grow.
Ask for forgiveness.
We are human and we make mistakes.
We have bad moments.
God knows our heart.
Acknowledge your wrongs and work on them without making excuses.

Hardships in our lives have purpose.
Nobody welcomes pain and suffering but when we know the heart of God we can begin to understand and trust that whatever pain he allows will work for the good of us and others in our lives.
This day might try to break you but take heart!
God makes broken things beautiful.

God can use our experience once we are healed to help and support others.
There are many ways God is transforming my own life and my heart is to help others too.
I've experienced massive emotional grief and pain through life experiences but by Gods grace I am on a journey of healing.
I often feel so weak but Gods strength keeps me going.
When worldly circumstances begin to weigh heavy, when fear threatens and sorrow grows the promise of a heavenly home gives me hope to keep going.

In my Fathers house there are many rooms.
If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself,
that where I am you may be also.
John 14:2-3

Seek the Lord and his strength;
Seek his presence continually.
1 Chronicles 16:11

I am not enough without you.
I can't do this without you.
I run to my Father.
Jesus I need you.
I just want you.

Jesus you choose me day after day.
When you enter Gods presence with praise, he enters your circumstance with power!
Jesus you are always beside me.
You cannot be destroyed by your imperfections when you know you are saved by perfect grace.
When all feels lost run to God.
You are not forsaken.
God is here, calling you out of your darkness drawing you near.

Learn of me and listen to my words; Walk in the meekness of my spirit and you shall have peace in me.
The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.
Exodus 14:14

For when I am weak
then I am strong!
2 Corinthians 12:10

God does great things through surrendered people.
My heart is wide open.
My life is yours.
To surrender in spirituality and religion means a believer completely gives up his own will and subjects his thoughts, ideas and deeds to the will and teachings of a higher power.
It may also be contrasted with submission.
Surrender is willful acceptance and yielding to a dominating force and their will.

In Christianity, the first main principal of surrender is "dying to self" or "the carrying of your cross" allowing Christ to reign and rule in the order of how ones life is carried out.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples; if any man will come after me let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Matthew 16:24

Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us,
and hath given himself for us and offering a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling Saviour.
Ephesians 5:2

Jesus loves us. We are all sinners. We've all done wrong and we need God.
We need his help.
But no matter what we've done, no matter how grievous our offences against him and others have been,
he still loves us!
Jesus died on the cross to express that love.

There is huge importance in taking time quietly alone in church, home or another quiet place and ask Jesus to come into your soul.
Turn to Jesus.
Give him all your gifts and talents, accomplishments and failures.

I give you my all.
Your love is my strength.
I feel weak but you make me strong enough to carry on.
I'm focusing on faith rather than fear.
In difficult times we need others more than ever to help us see our rescuer, our warrior,
who has promised to bring us through whatever we face.

Jesus, I'm tired of doing life alone but I'm learning to trust in God more and more.
Trust in Gods refining grace.
God provides what we need and more!
Trust him to work for your good in and through your pain.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding,
In all your ways know him and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Jesus, You make a way when there is no way!
I am in your hands.
You've never failed me.
Your love is overwhelming.
I'm gracefully broken.
Your power is at work in me.
Take my broken pieces and make something beautiful and more useful than ever before.
I seek you Lord.

Jesus says:
I am your Redeemer
I am your Saviour
I am your Healer
I am your Strength
I am your Deliverer
I am your comfort
I am your Portion
I am your Counselor
I am your Hope
I am!

Your ministry is found where you've been broken.
Your testimony is found where you've been restored!

Blessed is She who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.
Luke 1:45

Jesus - My reason I hang on

Never be ashamed of the scars that life has left you with.
A scar means the physical hurt is over, the wound is closed.
You endured the pain and God has healed you.
Scars are not just the ones that can be seen.
There is the emotional pain. Trauma and grief. Heartache and sadness.
Sometimes the scars are physical.
God can heal the emotional pain caused by things through life.

When you feel you're about to give up, hold on.
You didn't come this far to give up and walk away.
Hold on because you know you're stronger.
Hold on because you know you owe yourself that much.

Life is short so live it.
Love is rare so grab it.
Let go of anger.
Fear is a mind killer, face it.
Memories are sweet, cherish them.

When we take our worries to Jesus at the cross he can make us whole again.
He can give us peace and wholeness.
Jesus can heal the hurt, Grief, heartache and memories of trauma.
Following Jesus doesn't make us exempt from further difficult times but he can help us through.
We can come to the feet of Jesus and surrender all our worries and fear.

When it feels to tough to carry on remember that Jesus is always beside us and he loves us!
He carries Me when I feel I can't go on!
Cry to Jesus.
Surrender all to Jesus.
Trust in him.
Jesus come to my rescue.
Capture me with your grace.
I'm constantly amazed by how much you love me!

I can't do this on my own and I often can't find the words I need.
I need to hear it will all be okay.
I need your assurance.

Jesus you are my strength and I will worship you.
I will lift my eyes to you.
You bring me peace in the middle of the storm.

You've never left my side.
You're the anchor in my life.
Jesus - You're the reason I hang on.
You're the reason why even in pain I smile.
In confusion, I understand.
In betrayal, I trust and in fear I continue to fight.

Romans 8:28
God promises to make something good out of the storms that may bring devastation to your life.

Romans 8:18
The pain that you're feeling can't compare to the joy that's coming.

Romans 5:3-5
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Even in your darkest times Jesus will rescue you!
God can meet your deepest needs.
God sees me!
God sees you!
There is no situation to deep that God won't be there. He has his eye on you.
Jesus loves you and he can take away all of our pain and suffering.

Jesus - You are my reason I hang on.

Damaged but Beautiful

Psalm 139:14
I praise you for I am wonderfully made.

You do not have to be beautiful in the eyes of man on earth in order to be beautiful in the eyes of God.
I believe God takes us as we come. It doesn't matter if we are not immaculate or perfect, rich or poor.
God loves us all just the same. He accepts us as we come. Neat and tidy or in a mess.
It doesn't matter what went wrong this morning, this week or this month. God is still faithful and you are still alive!

I am fallen, flawed and imperfect, yet drenched in the grace and mercy that is found in Jesus Christ, there is strength.
God takes my broken pieces and makes me new again.

God can heal us and make us stronger than before, wiser and more and more beautiful as he fills our lives.
Know that your worth is not measured by what you've done, where you've been or where you were yesterday but who you are in Christ today and the beautiful transformation that can take place in your life.
Embrace new life in him through Jesus, ready to move forward. Ready to be alive.

Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine [Be radiant with glory and brilliance of the Lord] For the light is come and the Lord is risen upon thee.

As we fall deeper into relationship with Jesus he heals the deep damage that is in our lives and restores us so that we are whole again.
As the damage heals the beauty is restored.
Jesus love is perfect love.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in it's time.

I Surrender All

When God puts something on your heart, that means it's on his heart too. My life has been full of difficult situations but I feel I've come to a place where I can at this time in my life overcome the anxiety, the worry and the fear. I am in the process of finding peace. The peace of our souls does not rise and fall with unpredictable people or situation. Our feelings will shift, of course. People do affect us. But the peace of our souls is tethered to all that God is. And though we can't predict his specific plans the fact that God will work everything together for good is a completely predictable promise.

Romans 8:26 says God understands the cries of our heart, even when they're too deep for words. And Psalm 46:5 God is within her, She will not fall.

I've had times of real brokenness and despair. This has meant complete loss and absence of hope. Brokenness can mean a lot of things. It may imply messiness and imperfection. It may mean heartbreak. It may mean physical weakness. For some it is a reason to demand pity. For others it's motivation to stay true to themselves in their flawed humanity and not appear all together in a nice neat package. For others it's a cool word, a trend.

There's a lot we could talk about in regards to brokenness.
I think in Jesus eyes to be broken is to be crushed and torn in spirit over sin. The reason brokenness is beautiful is because of how God can use it in our lives. It is something that can draw us near to him. Brokenness can make room for a contrite heart and repentance to bring us back into fellowship with him when we have miserably failed. It is not lovely in and of itself, it is not the end of the journey, it is not a cute hashtag to put on a picture of a dirty house.
It is not a word to use when you want to feel "authentic". Standing alone is messy and sad. No, the beauty in spiritual brokenness is found in where it brings us. True brokenness is a tool by which God brings his wandering sheep back into his loving arms! On earth we suffer in one way or another. We all have our cross to bear.
Showing kindness is our opportunity to show the love that God is, to become the body and heart of Christ! The Lord loves the broken in heart, who draw near to him.

Hosea 10:12b God compares our hearts to a garden, and for a garden to bear fruit the ground has to be broken up so that it is able to receive water. Break up your fallow (uncultivated unseeded) ground. For it is time to seek the Lord, til he comes and rains righteousness upon you.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor (humble) in spirit: For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Through the breaking/remaking process God promises to give us a new heart.

Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

Psalm 51:8-10 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Create in me a clean heart O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Jeremiah 24:7 And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be my people; and I will be their God, for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

Sorrow often accompanies breakings but Godly sorrow is good for us.

Ecclesiastes 3:4 There is a time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Some tips to heal brokenness
 1 Admit your brokenness
2 Let go of anything holding you back
3 Turn your failure into triumph
4 Do not apologize for your brokenness
5 Spend time with yourself and God
6 Your vibe attracts your tribe
 7 Love unconditionally
 8 Smile
9 You are going to be okay
10 But unless you turn to Jesus and allow him to heal your loneliness, feelings of rejection and other psychological wounds you are likely to continue in your brokenness. This is a process where your heart is becoming more sensitive and responsive to God. It is rooted in the desire to be totally surrended to God and the good news is Jesus came to heal our brokenness.
God can transform us through his word to reflect the character of Jesus Christ.
To experience Gods best for your life you must surrender your all to God.
God must replace your self will and independence of him.
Jesus wants to heal your brokenness, anxiety, worries and fears but you have to let him. He will not only heal you but through his transforming power you can follow his example and walk in obedience to God.

Lay down the burdens that you carry and allow Jesus to meet you at the point of brokenness, Seasons of brokenness are not for self pity, but an opportunity to surrender. Through total surrender you will enjoy Gods best for your life. Surrender your broken life and receive forgiveness and healing that he offers you. He is here for you!
Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Heavenly Father I thank you that you meet me where I am through your son, Jesus Christ. Today, I give you my brokenness. My heart is open and ready for you to work in me through your Holy Spirit. I surrender to you, Mold me and make me into the person you want me to be. Thank you for your provision of abundant life through your son. In Jesus name I pray Amen!
